What are Exterior E-Design Services?
Are you thinking about changing the exterior look of your home but not sure how to go about it? At House of Three, we offer exterior e-design services that will help you visualize your home’s new look! In this blog post, we will be going over the three tier options that we offer. After taking a deep dive into learning more about each tier, you may have a better idea of what option will suit you and your exterior design needs!
For each tier level, we also offer additional add-ons for a fee. These optional add-ons include an additional elevation (meaning an added exterior wall), an additional elevation on a building separate from the house (like a garage or additional dwelling unit), rush delivery, an additional revision round, and any in-person measurements completed by one of our teams. These add-ons can be added during checkout.
Tier 1: Colour Refresh
See your home in a whole new palette, even before you pick up a brush.
Tier 1 is a streamlined exterior colour design service created to help you refresh your home’s look with confidence before any paint is ordered or applied. Through a carefully curated colour palette, a photorealistic before-and-after rendering, and a detailed paint specification list, this package gives you a clear and practical vision for your exterior while keeping the process simple, efficient, and easy to move forward.
In this tier, you will receive one exterior elevation of your choice, this typically is the front facade, two curated paint palettes that are tailored to your home’s style and architecture, and a photorealistic 2D rendering of a before and after view. We will also include an itemized colour list where we use Benjamin Moore colour palettes that will include paint brand, colour name, and the paint finish recommendations. We will add colour that is applied to the siding, trim, front door, shutters, and garage door if you have one. One round of revisions is included in this package as well as a downloadable PDF.
When selecting this tier, we will need you to provide a few information points that will help us in our design process. This will include clear photos of your front-facing exterior, basic measurements of your face that include width, height, door and window widths, heights, and locations as well as approximate roofline height and slope. We would love to see any inspiration photos you may have that can help us get an idea of what colours you would like! We would also love to know if there are any existing elements that you wish to keep, like existing brick, stone, or windows.
For this tier, we do not include architectural plans for permit issuance or structural changes, virtual or in-person meetings, or plot plan or exact renderings of slope of land/ grading.
The turnaround is 5 to 10 business days from the moment we receive all necessary information from you!
Tier 2: Curb Appeal Transformation
A full exterior redesign - materials, finishes, details, and colour, all in one vision.
Tier 2 reimagines your home’s exterior to make it shine from the curb. This fresh and cohesive vision will go beyond colour selection to explore materials, finishes, details and overall presentation. You will be able to see your home’s full potential with a before and after concept.
With Tier 2, you will receive one exterior elevation, a full exterior redesign that will include colour, cladding/siding materials, trim, doors, windows, and hardware. With this we will take into consideration any elements you indicate are to remain 'as is'. You will also get a photorealistic 2D rendering of a before and after view of your home, an itemized deliverable list that will contain material and descriptions from our suppliers, a general curb appeal landscaping overview, one round of revisions, and a downloadable PDF.
Like with Tier 1, we will need you to send us a few key pieces of information before we start. This will include clear exterior photos of all elevations included in your package. These photos will need the full facade to be captured within and in good natural lighting. We will also need basic measurements like facade width and height, door and window widths, heights, and locations as well as approximate roofline height and slope. Additionally, we would love to know if you have any colour and style inspiration images and any existing elements you wish to keep. We will send along a short style questionnaire for you to complete.
Tier 3: Full Elevation Design
Every angle. Every detail. Your complete exterior vision, fully designed and delivered.
The most complete exterior design tier is Tier 3. This option is perfect for those who are looking for a fully developed design for their home. In this vision, we create a detailed design for each elevation, multiple revision rounds, and direct collaboration with our designer. Tier 3 offers a complete plan that will bring every piece of your exterior to life with one final concept.
You will receive one exterior elevation, a full exterior redesign per elevation chosen that will include colour, cladding/siding materials, trim, doors, windows, roof, and hardware. You will also receive a photorealistic 2D rendering per elevation with before and after views, an itemized deliverable list for each elevation with material and finish descriptions from our suppliers, a general curb appeal landscaping overview, three rounds of revisions, up to two virtual meetings with our designer, and a downloadable PDF deliverable.
Like with the other two tiers we will need additional information from you before we begin our design. This information will include clear exterior photos of all elevations included in your package, basic measurements like facade width and height; door and window widths, heights, and locations and approximate roofline height and slope. If you have colour or style inspo images, sending those our way would be excellent! We would also like to know if there are any existing elements that you wish to keep. Finally, we will send you a short style questionnaire that will help us in the design process.
