Intern Architectural Technologist – FULL TIME

Due to funding requirements, this position is only open to individuals enrolled in Architectural Technician/Technology program or equivalent from an accredited Canadian college.  Unfortunately, International Students currently do not qualify due to funding requirements. 

Qualifications:

• Design, planning, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to prepare construction documents/drawings for a wide variety of building types
• Understanding of building science and the Ontario Building Code is a must
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adept at meeting deadlines and efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to qualify for CPIC and security clearances as needed 
• MUST have a valid drivers license and daily access to a vehicle.  As we are a rural business, public transit is not available.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Work with the Senior Technologist to design solutions that meet client needs
• Work as a part of the design team to measure, document, and interpret documents on the as-built conditions of existing buildings
• Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities
• Prepare both preliminary and construction documents
• Prepare Building Code, conduct zoning analyses, and compile reports

Education and Training:

• Enrolled in Architectural Technician/Technology program or equivalent from an accredited Canadian college 
• Proficiency in SoftPlan is preferred, however, skills with other architectural design software will be considered
