What’s included
Setup and submission of your building permit application through your municipality’s online permitting system (where available). This service includes creating a permit portal account using the property owner’s email address, submitting the initial building permit application, and then handing off the account so you can manage the file directly. Once submission is complete, you will receive the login credentials needed to manage inspections, upload additional documents, and make payments to the municipality.
Owner responsibilities and information required
All permit fees and related charges (including, but not limited to, permit fees, impost fees, and development charges) are paid directly by the owner to the municipality. The owner is responsible for providing accurate information for the application, including the current mailing address, legal name, and contact details of the property owner on title. If an online account already exists for the owner, the existing email address, username, and password must be provided, as duplicate accounts are typically not permitted in municipal systems. The owner is also responsible for any future uploads or documents requested by the municipality (for example, HVAC design, truss design, or other supporting reports).
Scope limitations
This add-on is limited to creating or using an existing municipal online permit account and submitting the initial building permit application only. Ongoing management of the permit file—including scheduling inspections, responding to comments, uploading revised drawings, and making payments—remains the responsibility of the owner. This service is available only in municipalities that accept online permit applications through a digital portal.
